Information
Breakfast packs:
Although we are primarily self catering accommodation, we realise there are times when you may want to have breakfast provided. Our breakfast packs aim to fill this need. We can provide you with bread, eggs, orange juice, cereal and tea or coffee. You’ll have to toast the bread, boil the kettle and cook the eggs yourself, but we can at least do the shopping for you! These cost £5 per person and will be in your suite when you arrive.
Welcome packs:
Alternatively, you may want one of our welcome packs. These are designed to give you the basics to get you started, so if you’re arriving late, or don’t want to shop on the way down, you’ve got the essentials provided.
Welcome pack contents:
a loaf of bread
tea bags
a jar of coffee
a pint of milk
a pat of butter
lovely Cornish biscuits
6 local free range eggs
a jar of jam or honey, you choose
This can all be yours for £19 and will be waiting in your suite when you arrive.
Supermarket Deliveries and Veg Boxes:
If you are coming for a long visit and want to arrange a supermarket delivery, we can take this in for you. The only caveat is that it has to be between 2pm and 6pm on the day you arrive. For other delivery times we can almost certainly be there to take it in but please check with us first. We will unpack your shopping for you, leaving you with nothing to do but put the kettle on on arrival.
We can also take in a veg box for you from Riverford Organic Vegetables.
They deliver here on a Friday, so if you are arriving on a Friday or Saturday this could be perfect for you.
Their boxes are £9.85 for a mini box (1-2 people), £12.35 for a small box (2-3 people) or £15.45 for a medium box (4 or more people). Let us know what you would like, we will order it, take delivery of the box and add the charge to your bill.
At Gwithian Holidays we try to use local produce wherever possible. All of the items within the breakfast and welcome packs are local, when they can be. The tea and coffee comes from abroad, but it is Fairtrade.
Cornwall produces wonderful food. The local farms produce fruit and vegetables, locally reared free range meat is easily available and the fishermen from Newlyn bring wonderful fish in every morning. You may wish to visit the local farm shops to get some of the food for your stay.
Trevaskis Farm Market is just up the road. They have a fantastic butchery, including their own free range pork, fish landed daily from Newlyn and a well kept deli counter as well as locally made bread, loads of their own vegetables and fruit and a general grocery too. In season you can pick your own fruit there and you can follow the farm trail to see everything they have to offer. Trevaskis regularly appears in lists of the best farm shops in Cornwall, and with good reason. They are open from 8am till 8pm every day, so they act as a convenience store as well as a wonderful farm shop.
Hayle itself has a good selection of independent shops, including greengrocers, a butcher, a baker and a lovely organic shop/cafe.
Each suite has a water filter jug provided. The Cornish water tastes lovely anyway, and we hope that the water filters will encourage you to drink the local water rather than bring bottled water with you.
We now have a laundry room available for your use, with washing machine and tumble dryer. Hopefully you won't have to spend your holiday doing laundry, but if the need does arise, the facilities are there for you.
We try to be as green as possible at Gwithian Holidays and have recently had PV panels fitted to our roof to ensure we get the most from Cornwall's most famous natural resource - the sun! We use only environmentally friendly cleaning products, recycle as much as possible and provide you with compost crocks in the suites.
We’ve tried to make it as easy as possible for you to enjoy your holidays, but hopefully minimise the impact on the environment at the same time.
Check-in is between 3pm and 6pm. If you wish to arrive outside of these times please let us know and every effort will be made to accommodate you. Check-out is at 10:30am.
Deposits are non-refundable regardless of circumstance. When full payment is made prior to arrival refunds may be given in the case of cancellation only if the property is able to be re-let.

This theatre is truly unique and a must see. If you can get tickets the productions are usually of high quality and the tickets are cheap. Even if it's sold out, the theatre is well worth a visit to look around and walk on Porthcurno beach at the same time.
